Paradise refers to those perfect moments
in life when everything comes together effortlessly. The painting paints
itself - the golf ball soars - the solution arrives unbidden. Artists
speak of their "muse" as if their creation arrives like a gift from
some mysterious source.
And athletes surly would always connect perfectly with
the ball if it were within their power to do so. It appears however
that letting go of this control - absenting ourselves is the surprising
solution. In "Paradise" the figures vanish because they are no longer
needed to complete their task.
